Released back in January this year, the Lenovo S720 is another budget Android smartphone introduced by the company this year. Running on the 1 GHz dual-core Mediatek MT6577 chipset, the Lenovo S720 can be easily rooted using the Framaroot app through the Boromir / Faramir exploit. Follow the steps below on how to root the Lenovo S720
- Download the Framaroot apk and place it on your desktop.
- Connect the Lenovo S720 to your PC.
- Copy the Framaroot apk from your desktop to your device’s SD card.
- Ensure that the Unknown Sources option has been checked in your device’s security settings.
- Launch your file explorer from your app drawer ( if you do not have one, you can download ES File Explorer from the Play Store ) and install the Framaroot apk from your SD card.
- Launch the Framaroot app from your app drawer.
- Select install Superuser.
- Tap on the Boromir / Faramir option on the app.
- Wait for a success pop-up to appear on the screen.
- Restart your device.
- Congratulation! You’ve just rooted the Lenovo S720.
